I’ve been a fan of Donald Miller ever since I read Blue Like Jazz about 5 years ago. As I was getting drawn down the Twitter bunny trail this afternoon, I found my way onto his new site called MySubplot.com. It helps you break down your roles and dissect them as you would a story. Here’s mine with my role as a mother:
As a writer, I love this idea. After looking at his example, I think I may have been too broad in filling mine out, but I love the idea of taking our everyday life and giving it some focus. Our stories aren’t just what happens to us, it’s what we do. It’s how we are following God’s plans and being purposeful and intentional on a day-to-day basis. I think I’m going to have to order the book and will probably share more of what I learn in future posts.
So what’s your story?

Love Donald Miller. I want to write something similar someday. And that website looks legit. Thanks for sharing!
No problem!
